About.

Aloha!! My name is Peter Pacyao, born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and now living on the mainland in Reno Nevada where I've learned to play the guitar and write songs from remarkable people who in my eyes are exceptional musicians that I was blessed to play with.  "Music Is What I Like To Play" and was inspired by a lot of musicians playing contemporary and Hawaiian music from the islands in the 70's, and extended my song list to Artist such as Cecelio and Kapono, Kalapana, Brother IZ, Kekai Boyz, Country Comfort, Manao Company, Three Plus, Don Ho, Ho'onu'a, King Harvest, War, Santana, Jimmy Buffet, Lionel Richie, Bob Dylan, Temptations, Dennis Kamakahi, Stevie Wonder, The Drifters, America, Wilson Pickett, Robert Johnson, JJ Cale, The Commodores, Hall n Oates, Michael Bubl'e, Van Morrison, Young Rascals, Bill Withers, Jim Reeves, Ben E. King, Eric Clapton, Neville Brothers, Sam Cooke, Brian Hyland, Peter Framton, Elton John, Prince... and the list goes on.

I started by participating at Open Mic's in Reno and Sparks at Walden's Coffee House, Fine Vine Wines, Paddy and Irines.  I've played at numerous places in the Reno Sparks area and enjoyed every moment sharing my music.  Thanks to those veneus that gave me the opportunity to perform there.  Some of the places you might know is; Luva Bella Wine Gallery, Sommerset Farmers Market, Whole Foods, Greatwestern Marketplace, Hidden Valley Country Club, Earth Day, UNR Ho'olau lea, Northern Nevada Hui at Bowers Mansion, Owl Club in Eureka,  MidTown Wine Bar, Boomtown Casino Guitar Bar, Midtown Street Fair, Kitzmo Japanese and Sushi restaurant, Reef Sushi and Sake Bar and restaurant, L&L Resturant, The Fine Vine, Comma Coffee, A to Zen, Northstar Resort, The Hyatt Incline Village,  Gardnervill Senior Center,  Lilly's Resturant, Aloha Shack Resturant, Cold Springs Crossings, 395 Craft Beer and Spirits, Austin's Resturant in Incline Village Boys and Girls Club Fundraiser. also a few Retirements Homes which was a new and beautiful experience for me.  The people there was so appreciative and wonderful at the Promenade On The River, Carson Valley Retirement Home, Beehive in Fernley, and a few private parties and weddings.  I play the 12 string guitar, mostly rhythm with no backing tracks.  I'm still learning how to do that (smiling).  My music has an island style flair to it, so it's different from playing covers, but enjoyable to the ears.

I would love to play for you.  I am also a proud musician for the Band "Na Mele" (THE SONG  in Hawaiian) and still learning with  a VA Program for Veterans. G4V Guitar for Vets an awesome program with great instructors.
